The Scale. Why won’t it move?
The Scale.
That little machine in your bathroom that so many people step on Monday morning, fully depending on it to tell them their self worth.
Those all important numbers that when you see them, dictate whether or not you are doing good things for yourself……or not.
We dread it, until it reads .4 lbs lower than yesterday, or last week. Then it’s our favorite machine in the whole house. (WELL- The coffee pot will always win at my house.)
STOP THIS MADNESS!
You are so much more than how many pounds you weigh. You are way more important than how gravity works on your body. How much you weigh should never be allowed to control your day, your self worth, or your drive.
“But Jill! I’ve been working so hard! I’m not letting myself have treats, I’m getting all my walks, I’m drinking my water! I must be built differently than everyone else. It just doesn’t work FOR ME.”
Nope. Your cellular function isn’t different than other humans. It’s not. The efficiency at which you function may be different, it may take more time, but it’s really the same.

I am so glad you asked!!! That word, metabolism, that we all throw around….is really just a word that means- The chemical process of the body. CELLULAR FUNCTION
So, if you want to improve cellular function….or your metabolism, what should you do?
Well, you’re already walking, working out, drinking water, and not eating treats, RIGHT? By the way, This is where you evaluate your true actions.

Now you need to start giving your body, scratch that….FLOODING your body, with what it needs to work at high efficiency.
There is a lot of nutrition advise that you may need, but this one is so important! Are you ready?

Eat Vegetables.
I know! It’s simple! So simple it may just work! Try it at every meal. Put spinach in your eggs, drink green smoothies, make everything a salad at lunch…tuna salad, taco salad, tabbouleh salad, bbq chicken salad. At dinner, have 2 veggies as sides. Chicken, broccoli, and salad. FLOOD your body with vitamins and minerals. Watch what happens.
Our society struggles so much with how to fix this fat problem. We look for pills, we search for extreme solutions, you pay LOTS of money to find miracle solutions.

There’s nothing extreme that needs to be done. You don’t have to run marathons, you don’t have to do magnificent feats of strength, you don’t have to swear off cookies for the rest of your life! Change happens in small decisions that add up to big success. I know you can do it!
